SOPHIE: THE INCREDIBLE MAYOR MASLOFF 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14 Dr. Barbara Burstin will discuss her new book about Sophie Masloff, who served as the mayor of Pittsburgh from 1988 to 1994. She was the first woman and the first Jewish person to hold the office. Burstin is an adjunct professor in the history departments at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. Presented by the Historical Society of Mount Lebanon.
