Letter from the Supervisors
Summer has arrived , and this edition of IN Millcreek will include lots of information that we hope you will find useful . We will feature a local business that completed a major transformation to the façade of their building , and how improvements like these positively impact the look of the corridors into our community .
From our Recycling Department , a special collection at our Millfair site will take place on May 15th and you will need to pre-register to participate . Valuable information reminding everyone what items are acceptable for curbside pickup . You will also find pieces about property tax rebates , and advice from the Better Business Bureau on Construction Scams . Our Police Department has an important safety reminder about leaving children and pets unattended in vehicles . From our Parks and Recreation Department , a feature on safely exploring Millcreek ’ s Trails . The Emergency Management office will review our burning ordinances and how you can keep fireworks safe .
The Summer season is all about family reunions , weddings , graduation parties and just being outdoors . Summer in Erie is truly unbeatable , and our area has so much to offer with the best beaches , boating , fishing , hiking , golf and picnicking , the list goes on . Community Blood Drive

When you want to lend a hand , roll up your sleeves and lend an arm . The Community Blood Bank continues to face a critical blood shortage as the COVID-19 pandemic continues . As the exclusive supplier to the hospitals in Erie County , it is imperative the CBB sees a steady donor turnout to bring the blood supply levels up to adequate for the patients in need of a life-saving unit of blood . The CBB aims to make blood donation more convenient for members of our community by bringing the bloodmobile right to the Millcreek Township Municipal Building every other month . If you are unable to make these blood drives , we are open six days a week at 2646 Peach St . Erie , P . A . 16508 . You can also find a complete list of our mobile blood drives at fourhearts . org . Every 2 seconds , someone new needs blood . Help ensure the necessary blood products are on the shelf by donating blood at one of the upcoming blood drives . Thank you for being a blood donor !
