There has been much confusion regarding the new law, with numerous phone calls to authorities for assistance.
We are going to attempt to provide some clarity.
Consumer Fireworks
Smaller fireworks intended for
personal enjoyment. Available for
purchase without an ATF license
or permit. May be purchased at
temporary fireworks tents or
“brick and mortar facilities” (aerial
spinners, Roman Candles, mines,
shells, cakes, missiles, firecrackers,
rockets, chasers, fountains).

In order to purchase, possess, and use consumer fireworks, a person must be at least 18 years of age.
In addition, a person may not ignite or discharge:

business whether or not a person is actually present.

without
express
permission of
the owner
A person who possesses or uses consumer fireworks in violation of the law may be charged with a Summary Offense and
face a monetary fine. They may also be liable to pay for any damages that occur, as well as payment for the response of
public safety agencies.
To help you determine if you can use consumer fireworks on your property we have published a
map indicating prohibited areas (MillcreekTownship.com). If you are in doubt if you can use
fireworks in an area it is better to not take the chance.
Some people do not appreciate hearing fireworks as they may invoke bad memories and
disturb children or pets.
Please ensure you are courteous if using any fireworks.
