MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP GENERAL AUTHORITY

Authority Accepts Grant to Fund Pavilion Improvements to Scott Park
The Millcreek Township General Authority voted to accept a $ 20,000 Community Assets Grant from the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority( ECGRA) through their Parks Fields & Trails program. This grant will allow for the replacement of an existing pavilion at Scott Park, partnering with the Township to strengthen community spaces, support recreation, and enhance quality of life for residents.
The project will replace the damaged pavilion and concrete pad within its existing footprint, maintaining the character and layout residents are familiar with. The improvements are designed to provide a more functional, accessible, and welcoming space for everyday park use and community gatherings. The Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Act authorizes the General Authority to carry out projects and activities in Millcreek Township for various purposes including, but not limited to, parks, recreation grounds, and facilities. The General Authority is sponsoring this project in Scott Park by utilizing grant funding that is available to the Authority.
Scott Park is one of Millcreek Township’ s most active recreational areas, serving residents through athletic fields, trails, playgrounds, and open green space. The park sees consistent use throughout the year for organized sports, informal recreation, and community events.
