Preparing Young Minds for Kindergarten
Millcreek Township School District ’ s Pre-K Program is accepting students for the 2025-2026 school year ! Staffed with early childhood education-certified teachers and qualified educational assistants , MTSD Pre-K students are wellprepared for Kindergarten when they leave the program . Our Kindergarten teachers often comment on how MTSD ’ s Pre-K students are more advanced than their peers when they arrive in Kindergarten .
Our Pre-K program is housed in our school buildings , which provides the added benefit of becoming familiar with schools before Kindergarten and collaboration with the older students in the building . Past collaborations have included reading buddies , story time with high school students , and even mini lessons with the building guidance counselor .

Students engage in developmentally appropriate activities to grow their social & emotional skills , fine & gross motor skills , critical thinking , and problem solving , as well as build critical foundational skills in readingwriting-speaking-listening , math , and science .
