SPRING 2025 UPDATES
MFD : PROGRESS , GROWTH , AND COMMITMENT
Here are some key bullet points to highlight the Millcreek
Township Fire Department : Staffing : In March , we introduced 15 new full-time staff , ensuring that we have 4 districts ( West Lake , West Ridge , Kearsarge , Belle Valley ) on duty 24 / 7 . We also are maintaining our part-time staff into our ranks . Personnel : Our department boasts a dedicated team of 26 fulltime firefighters , including 17 highly trained Paramedics . We are an ALS QRS EMS Agency . Our goal is to offer the highest level of care to our community . SAFERS Grant : Millcreek Fire Department was awarded a SAFERS Grant totaling $ 5,425,878.00 ! This funding has supported the new addition of 15 firefighters for the next three years , covering 100 % of their wages and benefits with no impact on taxes . This grant represents a significant investment in the safety and well-being of our community , ensuring we have the resources to serve and protect .

STRATEGIC PLANNING In the first weeks of November , community stakeholders and agency members came together to create the Millcreek Fire Department ' s community-driven strategic plan . This collaboration identified the department ' s mission , values , and goals , establishing a unified vision for the future : 1 . Mission : The Millcreek Fire Department selflessly serves our community by providing emergency response , fire prevention , and public education . We proudly protect lives , property , and the environment with professionalism and compassion .
2 . Values : Our team provides skilled service to the community through integrity , compassion , respect , and courage . 3 . Vision : To be a unified model department that meets or exceeds best practices for emergency services . While honoring our history , we will continuously improve our capabilities in the community that we serve .
MFD STRATEGY GOALS
1 . Strengthen Communication & Outreach : Improve internal and external communication , establish community programs , and standardize public education initiatives .
2 . Consolidation : Integrate local volunteer departments into MFD for a seamless and efficient response system .
3 . Enhance department resources to improve the delivery of services to the community . 4 . Optimize personnel for greater efficiency . 5 . Achieve & Maintain International Accreditation 6 . Develop a Community Risk Reduction program for safety .
