This gorgeous 1843 mansion was built by United States Supreme Court Justice Henry Baldwin and houses many of the Baldwin and Reynolds families ’ furnishings plus domestic artifacts from the people of Crawford County . There are also botanical gardens and walking areas to enjoy . It hosts plenty of special events as well !

This 1910 trolley station still looks very similar to the way it did when it first opened . It offers tours , educational programs for school groups , and is a charming venue for private events . The station is open by appointment only , which can be scheduled by visiting the website .

Did you know that the Drake oil well in 1859 was the birthplace of the petroleum industry in Pennsylvania ? This museum features exhibits and artifacts about the industry ’ s local development and eventual growth into a worldwide enterprise , scientific and technological innovation over the years , and global impact . The 240-acre site features a full-size replica of Edwin L . Drake ’ s engine house and derrick , hosts various events and programs , and offers trails and other recreation opportunities .
Fort LeBoeuf Historic Campus – Eagle Hotel , French & Indian War Museum and Judson House

On the south end of Waterford is the former site of Fort LeBoeuf , originally French ( 1753 ), then British ( 1760 ) and American ( 1796 ). The 1826 Eagle Hotel was considered very elegant in its day in its rustic surroundings and included a livery stable . It became a welcome respite and social center for travelers and dignitaries . The French & Indian War museum houses artifacts from the Native Americans who lived on the land , the French and British fur trade , and archaeological excavations of the area . Built in 1810 , the Judson house is furnished authentically in the style of the period and also features a model of the original Fort LeBoeuf .
