ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT Evan Adair, Solicitor( 24 Years)
Attorney Adair has served as Township Solicitor for 24 years. He is an expert in the field of municipal law. His experience is respected state-wide. Supervisor Brian McGrath commented on Evan’ s service to the Township.“ His focus is always on how to improve our community. His efforts helped resolve countless legal issues … his guidance helped avoid many more issues throughout his career with Millcreek.”
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT John Orr, Inspector( 43 Years)
John recently retired after 43 1 / 2 years of service as a highly valued member of the Engineering Department family. He started with the Township once he graduated high school. Working most recently as the Inspector, John was a very knowledgeable, dependable employee that insured compliance with ordinances, drawings and specifications on a variety of public works projects that included streets, storm sewers and sidewalks. He had great expertise with ADA sidewalk ramps and assisted oodles of residents with drainage problems.

POLICE DEPARTMENT Michael Tesore, Director of Police( 29 Years)
Mike finished his career with the Police Department on December 31st. Throughout his career with the Department, he was assigned many different responsibilities. Patrol Officer, Training Officer, Criminal Investigator, SWAT Commander, to name just a few. The experiences from each of his assignments made him a natural selection to become the 9th Chief in Department History. Millcreek Township appreciates Mike Tesore for his many years of service and wishes him the best during retirement.
David Edwards, Corporal( 28 Years)
Dave also held numerous assignments throughout his career. When he moved on from Patrol, he became a Criminal Investigator, Firearms Instructor, and member of the SWAT Team. His ability to fix things made him a perfect fit to become the Department Armorer and Staff Service Officer. If you needed something, Dave could find it or fix it!
Elizabeth Schultz, Dispatcher( 10 years)
Liz began her career with the Department as a part-time Dispatcher in 1987. She became full-time in 1989 and continued until 1997, when she left to become the 911 Supervisor for Erie County. Liz returned in 2006 and finished her career in August 2016. You could always count on Liz to keep you on your toes!
FLEET MAINTENANCE William Hitchcock, Garage Operations Manager( 43 Years)
Bill began his career with Millcreek changing tires and oil. He soon became a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, eventually being promoted to Operations Manager, responsible for all vehicle maintenance. Supervisor Brian McGrath worked with Bill for 38 years. Brian said,“ His decades of experience enabled him to provide quality service for our Township.”
STREETS DEPARTMENT Gary Walters, Head Foreman( 42 Years)
Gary worked his entire 42 year career in the Streets Department, first as a Truck Driver, then a Welder and later as a Job Foreman. He became Assistant Head Foreman in 2008 and Head Foreman in 2013. Supervisor Brian McGrath also worked with Gary for 38 years. McGrath said,“ Because Gary knew the Township inside and out, his transition into the Head Foreman position benefitted all Millcreek residents.“
NEW CHIEF OF POLICE, SCOTT HEIDT
Chief of Police, Scott Heidt
Chief Heidt has been with MPD for the past 29 years. He has worked in all Divisions within the Department while previously commanding the Special Services and Investigative Services Divisions. He has added expertise in Insurance Fraud, Fire / Arson Investigation, Internal Affairs, and SWAT. He graduated from the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA in 2010 and served almost 35 years with the West Ridge Fire Department before retiring as their Assistant Chief. Scott is married and has two children.
