Auto Collision Course Teams with Area Auto Body Shops to Teach Students
The Auto Collision Course taught by Randy Bowser at the MASD Career and Technology Education Center is working cooperatively with two area auto body centers. According to Bowser,“ Derkas Auto Body and Service and Renzie Auto Center are helping the classes by giving them the most up-to-date regulations for the repairs to meet state inspection guidelines." Bowser said that he is grateful for their advice and input to allow the Auto Collision course students to make the best repairs possible for state standards. Bowser explained that in order to get a car repaired, the owner would need to pay for the materials to fix the car. The labor would be performed by the students learning how to make car repairs. For more information, contact Randy Bowser through the high school main office.

2025-2026 School Year
2025-26 Title 1 Parent and Family Engagement Policy
Three of the four district schools – Francis McClure Elementary, Twin Rivers Elementary, and Founders Hall Middle School are Title 1 schools. They work in collaboration with parents, families, teachers, support staff, community members, and school and district administration in the organizing, planning, review and improvement of the school ' s Title I program and in the planning and review of the Parent and Family Engagement policy. The Parent and Family Engagement section of the Every Student Succeeds Act( ESSA }, Section 1116( b) requires every Title I school to develop a written parent and family engagement policy that describes the means for carrying out the requirements of Section 1116.
The Parent and Family Engagement Policy for all three schools has been developed jointly with, and agreed upon by, parents and family members of Title I children. All schools conduct meetings for families to formulate suggestions, and to participate, as appropriate, in decisions about the education of their children and on decisions about how to spend parent and family engagement funds. Title I funds will be used to pay for reasonable and necessary expenses associated with parent and family engagement activities at Francis McClure Elementary, Twin Rivers Elementary, and Founders Middle Hall. The district ensures that information related to school and parent programs, meetings and other activities are sent to the parents of all Title I children in a timely manner, in an understandable format and provided in a language the parents can understand, made available to the local community and updated annually in the spring to meet the changing needs of parents, family members and the school.
