16th Annual Village for Kids Bubbling with Fun
International Village week kicked off with its 16th annual family-favorite celebration – the Village for Kids – on the Lions Bandshell grounds. This free event allows local organizations and services to come together every year to host something special for Mon Valley children.
Children enjoyed a variety of activities and crafts from McKeesport and Allegheny County-based initiatives, a visit from Stitch, and a bubble party courtesy of the McKeesport Housing Authority.
With state Senator Nick Pisciottano’ s Office taking the lead on planning, Mayor Mike Cherepko said the event is wonderful every year. It closes with the crowning of the year’ s Prince and Princess of International Village. This year’ s winners are George Nelson and Kayla Moats. cKeesport
