Aliver Foundation Brings Outdoor AED to Renzie Park

On August 17, the Aliver Foundation visited the Renzie Senior Center, where the organization facilitated the installation of an outdoor AED bundle for easy access in a cardiac emergency.

The McKeesport Fire Department, McKeesport Police Department, and McKeesport Ambulance Rescue Service hosted a touch-a-truck event and CPR demonstration to mark the reveal of the life-saving equipment, made possible by a donation by the McKeesport Hospital Foundation ' s Marsha Bazylak Memorial Fund.
Founded in January 2024, The Aliver Foundation’ s mission is to raise awareness and funds to install all weather AEDs in outdoor recreation spaces while also providing crucial resources and educational opportunities to individuals and communities. Learn more at: thealiverfoundation. org.

Community Garden encourages residents to‘ Live Well’ cKeesport cKeesport

Health, wellness, and food security initiatives from Allegheny County visited the McKeesport Community Garden for a Live Well Collaborative program on urban gardening and farmers markets.

The local garden, located at 13th and Walnut streets, features personal and community garden boxes with work days every Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 PM! The garden focuses on social health and lends an opportunity for community members to grow their own vegetables. It provides a spot where neighbors can improve their quality of life by working together by growing healthy foods in a healthy community environment.
