Renzie Rib Fest serves food , fun for Labor Day weekend
Folks from across Allegheny and neighboring counties gathered on the Lions Bandshell grounds for a fun-filled weekend of music , fireworks and regional barbecue September 3-6 .
The annual Renzie Rib Fest , sponsored by the McKeesport Lions Club , Mayor Michael Cherepko , the McKeesport Recreation Board , and the Allegheny Regional Asset District , was a big hit with performances by Beatlemania Magic , Dozzi , Buckwild , Aftermath , the Clintones , and Judi Figel , whose patriotic performance ended with a fireworks display .
“ It was another great year for the Renzie Rib Fest ,” Mayor Michael Cherepko said . “ It ’ s wonderful to see area residents back in Renzie Park for a weekend of delicious food and great entertainment .
