Comic Art Workshop with Do Art Productions
Saturday, Oct. 11 – 1 p. m. Do Art Productions is bringing its hands-on Comic Art Workshop to Mars! Geared toward kids and teens, this interactive session blends creativity and collaboration. Learn the basics of comic storytelling, try your hand at drawing, and work together to create a one-of-a-kind group comic. Registration is required.
WWII: A Soldier’ s Story Presented by Soldiers & Sailors
Saturday, Nov. 8 – 11 a. m.
Step into the boots of a World War II soldier during this engaging presentation from the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum. Learn about the daily experiences of American servicemen— from the gear they carried to the challenges they faced on the front lines. With authentic artifacts and powerful storytelling, this program offers a firsthand look at the sacrifices and realities of wartime life.
Checkers Tournament
Tuesday, Oct. 8 – 4:30 p. m.
Think you’ ve got what it takes to be the checkers champ? Join us for a fun and friendly tournament open to all skill levels. Challenge your opponents, test your strategy, and see who comes out on top! Registration is required.
Story Time( ages 3 to 5)
Select Mondays – 10:30 a. m.
Stories, songs, rhymes and more— this preschool-focused program helps build essential early literacy skills. Caregivers are encouraged to participate!
Story Tots( ages 18 to 36 months)
Select Wednesdays – 10:30 a. m.
A playful and interactive session with songs, movement and short stories for toddlers and their caregivers.
Baby Bounce( ages 0 to 18 months)
Select Thursdays – 10:30 a. m.
A 20-minute bonding program using gentle songs, motions and stories to engage your baby and support development.
LEGO Club( ages 6 to 11 +)
1st Thursday of the Month – 4 p. m.
Drop in for creative LEGO fun! Explore our bins of bricks and take on an optional monthly challenge. Completed creations will be displayed in the Children’ s Area. No registration is required.

3rd Friday of the Month – 1 p. m. Join us for a monthly indoor play session featuring games, movement, music, and crafts— perfect for little ones who love to move and explore.
StoryWalk at Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy
Week of Oct. 18-24
Take a walk and read a story! Enjoy a self-guided stroll along the scenic trail at Stormy Oaks in Valencia while reading pages of a picture book posted along the path. A great way to combine literacy and outdoor fun for the whole family.
