AARP Driver Safety Class
Come to the library to participate in the AARP Driver Safety Class. The cost for the class is $ 15 for AARP members and $ 20 for non-members. Proof of AARP membership is needed. Checks are REQUIRED and can be made out to AARP. Pre-registration with payment at the library is required. Participants 55 and older can receive a 5 % discount off of their car insurance for completing this two-day program. This class is highly recommended for those wanting to learn the effects of aging on driving. Please bring your driver’ s license and AARP card( if a member) to the class.

Cook the Book: A Cookbook Book Club
Do you love reading cookbooks and making new recipes? If so, then this is the club for you!! We pick the cookbook or theme, you select and make a recipe from that cookbook or theme. October’ s cookbook is Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat by Chrissy Teigen. Bring your dish to the library on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p. m. Please call the library or stop in to register.
Special Cook the Book Cookie Exchange n Wednesday, Dec. 14, 7 p. m. Trade cookies and recipes. Containers will be provided to take your yummy cookies home. Please sign up by December 1 so we have an idea of how many will be in attendance and how many cookies we each need to bake.
iOS 10( iPad, iPhone)
Apple continues to enhance the iPad’ s usability with the release of iOS 10. Notes, Music, News, Maps and many other apps have new features you’ ll want to learn and use. This course is a comprehensive introduction to using the iPad including all of the standard apps that come with iOS 10.
Have a new iPhone? This class will help you master all of the functions you need to get started including how to set up email accounts and connect to the Internet, download apps and organize them using Home screens and folders, how to take pictures and share via social media, how to use maps, and Siri. And, of course, how to make and answer calls. This course covers the newer iOS iPhone apps including Health, Wallet, and using Apple Pay. Also included are tips to make your iPhone easier to see, with larger text and graphics.
Please bring your iPad or iPhone to the class.
