Chabad of South Hills Events
Sixty children and their parents participated in the“ Mega Challah Bake 4 Kids” held in the fall at the South Hills Jewish Community Center. The event was co-sponsored by Chabad of the South Hills and South Hills Jewish Pittsburgh.
LEARN & EARN PROGRAM SET TO EMPLOY 2,000 YOUTH IN 2017
The application period for the Allegheny County and City of Pittsburgh summer jobs program is open. Eligibility: city or county resident, age 14- 21( as of June 19, 2017), meeting income criteria.
Applications are available through May 20. Pay rates vary according to the type of job. Work will take place June 26 through Aug. 4. Orientation begins the week of June 19.

HANDBAG BINGO TO SUPPORT MAINSTAY LIFE SERVICES
Join in a fundraiser on Saturday, May 13, at the Dormont Recreation Center, 1801 Dormont Avenue, to help support the mission of Mainstay Life Services. Mainstay provides lifelong, high-quality support services to ensure that people with developmental disabilities lead fulfilling lives and realize their vision of a desirable future.
Doors open at 11 a. m., bingo is from noon to 3 p. m. Tickets are $ 25, which includes 11 games and light refreshments. Daubers and extra game cards will be for sale, including four special games. Raffle baskets and a 50 / 50 raffle will also be held.

MT. LEBANON SENIOR MEN’ S GOLF CLUB
Mt. Lebanon Senior Men’ s Golf Club membership is open to all resident and nonresident men 55 and up. Founded in 1964, the club plays Wednesday mornings, April to Oct., at the historic 9-hole Mt. Cook the Book: A Cookbook Book Club Do you love reading cookbooks and making new recipes? If so, then this is the club for you! We pick the cookbook or theme— you select and make a recipe from that cookbook or theme. Please call the library or stop in to register.

Arts and Crafts: Join us as we spend time making various arts and crafts at the library. Each week we will spend time learning about a new style of art, followed by a free time of creating!
• Wednesdays, 4:45 to 5:30 p. m. Runs until May 31. STEAM Hour: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math … Oh My! Join us as we explore a new aspect each week.
• Thursdays, 4:30 to 5:30 p. m. Runs until June 1. Teen Gaming: Come to the library for a free time of playing board games or games on the Wii! You get to decide what you want to do.

OASIS Connections Computer Classes for
Adults 50 & Older Registration is required. This program is being offered in partnership with Pittsburgh OASIS and is underwritten by The Fine Foundation.
• All computer classes are held from 10:15 a. m. to 12:15 p. m.
Introduction to Digital Photography In this course you will learn about the advantages of digital photography and the equipment and features you need to know about when buying a digital camera. You will also get a brief introduction to software and websites for organizing, editing and sharing digital photos.
• Please bring your camera, phone, cables, etc. to the class.

Introduction to Computers In this fun, hands-on course you will learn all the basic computer skills including using the mouse and keyboard, working with Microsoft Windows 7 and 10, using Microsoft Word, surfing the Internet and using email. This course is ideal for someone who has a little experience with the computer but wants to know more.
