Founded in 1963, the SCGC strives to “stimulate interest
and influence action toward improving Sewickley public
spaces, to engage in planting and maintenance of landscape
material, and to encourage appreciation of nature through
educational programs.” The council is the umbrella
organization for The Edgeworth Garden Club, The Garden
Club of Allegheny County, The Little Garden Club, and The

The Shaler Garden Club was founded in 1921, and is still

your gardening talents at Zélie’s Garden, located at the
Zelienople Historical Society. Historical society members
are creating the garden based on the writings of Zélie
Passavant while she lived at Passavant House, the society’s

annuals, herbs and aquatics.

Welcome spring with wildflowers! The hiking trails
wander through fields, forests, meadows and along Raccoon
Creek. Check out several species of trilliums, violets, blue
