STUDENT-ATHLETES TO CONTINUE CAREERS AT NEXT LEVEL

Twenty-nine recent Fox Chapel Area High School graduates signed and / or committed to further their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Some of the 2024-2025 athletic accomplishments are:
• Twenty out of 27 teams qualified for the WPIAL and / or the PIAA playoffs.
• Carson Kittsley was the PIAA Class 3A boys golf individual champion.
• Sarah Pasquella won gold in the 200 yard freestyle at the PIAA Class 3A swimming and diving championships.
• The boys soccer team won the WPIAL Class 4A championship.
• Ethan Vaughan was the WPIAL Class 3A cross county champion.
• Owen Howell placed first in the 200 yard individual medley at the WPIAL Class 3A swimming and diving championships and Sarah Pasquella won gold in the 200 yard freestyle. The girls 200 yard freestyle relay team of Sarah Pasquella,
Grace Kovach, Josephine Stanczak, and Charlotte Rusche won a gold medal. The same team placed first in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
• The girls golf, girls soccer, girls swimming and diving, and field hockey teams finished as WPIAL runner-ups.
• The Fox Chapel Area High School cheerleading squad qualified for nationals for the third consecutive year.
• Four teams – boys cross country, girls golf, girls soccer, and boys soccer – qualified for the state playoffs.
• Michael Worsen qualified for the PIAA Class 3A wrestling championship.
• Seven teams were named section champions, and five had undefeated records in their sections( boys golf, boys cross country, girls soccer, boys swimming and diving, and boys tennis). The girls golf team and the boys soccer team also won their sections.
• Team QPA awards went to the girls cross country team( 4.15 QPA) and boys indoor track team( 4.03 QPA).
• The cumulative QPA this year for all boys varsity teams was 3.91, and for the girls, it was 3.70.
