INGOMAR GARDEN CLUB MEETINGS
The Ingomar Garden Club holds monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month— March through November— at Northmont Church, located at 8169 Perry Highway. The business meeting begins at 10:30 a. m., followed by a light luncheon and guest speaker.

NACSSL SENIOR SOFTBALL REGISTRATION
Registration is open for the 2026 season of the Northern Allegheny County Senior Softball League( NACSSL). NACSSL is a competitive slow-pitch senior softball league featuring 20 teams and approximately 280 players across three age divisions: 50 +, 62 + and 71 +.
Tryout evaluations will be held in March and April. League games are played from May through August, primarily at the North Park Senior Softball Complex at the Lodge in North Park.

CARNEGIE MUSEUMS OFFER SUMMER CAMPS
Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History announced the return of their summer camps, offering a variety of weeklong programs for children and teens starting in June.
Camps run June 8 through Aug. 21, Monday through Friday, with full-day options for ages 6 – 13, half-day camps for ages 4 – 5, and specialized teen programs for grades 9 – 12 through the Youth Art Studio.
The full list of camps is available online and registration is open. Scholarship applications are also available, providing reduced-cost options for qualifying families.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR PITTSBURGH MARATHON WEEKEND
Registration for the 2026 DICK’ S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events, May 1 – 3, is open.
The three-day celebration offers events for all ages and ability levels— from full marathon and half marathon to walking divisions, relay races, fitness challenges, kids races and even pet and toddler events.
Expected to be the largest Marathon Weekend in event history, with more than 50,000 participants, it will once again transform downtown Pittsburgh into a citywide celebration of movement and community.
The Pittsburgh Marathon and Half Marathon were recently listed among Runner’ s World’ s top spring races for 2026, and the Chick-fil-A Pittsburgh Kids Marathon remains the largest youth running event in the country.

KIDS OF STEEL PROGRAM PUBLISHES FIRST BOOK
P3R’ s free youth fitness program, Kids of STEEL, has launched its first-ever book,“ Storytime with Kids of STEEL,” designed to inspire young children to stay active through storytelling and imagination. The interactive book invites kids to place themselves in the story, blending movement, confidence-building lessons, and real race-day experiences to help spark a lifelong love of physical activity.
Written by the Kids of STEEL team, it supports the program’ s mission to reach more than 350 schools and organizations and engage more than 30,000 children each year. Proceeds from the book directly benefit Kids of STEEL, helping to fund programming, grants and scholarships that encourage children across Pennsylvania and beyond to get moving and dream big. n
