Spearheaded by Shaler’s Tom Quigley as
a project of Glenshaw Presbyterian Church,
GOE’s success is because of the collaboration
of Quigley, the Borough of Etna, the
Allegheny County Health Department and

of Life Food Pantry and the All Saints Food

Are you fascinated by rain gardens? In
partnership with the Audubon Society
of Western Pennsylvania, the Town of
McCandless planted four rain gardens to help
curb the water overflow into Pine Creek. The
gardens prevent heavy rainfall from carrying
sediments and other pollutants into the creek.
