2 018 - 2 019 f ox c hapel a r ea s chool d is tr ict | s tat e of t he s chools 2018-2019 Athletic Accomplishments   The athletic teams had another outstanding year, as evidenced by their performances and the number of individuals and teams that represented the district at PIAA and WPIAL events. A few facts about the Fox Chapel Area athletic program include: – Girls’ golf, girls’ cross country, and boys’ tennis had perfect section records. – Twenty of the 26 interscholastic teams and/or individuals from those teams qualified for postseason competition. The list is as follows: baseball, boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, boys’ cross country, girls’ cross country, boys’ golf, girls’ golf, gymnastics, boys’ indoor track, girls’ indoor track, boys’ lacrosse, girls’ lacrosse, boys’ soccer, boys’ swimming and diving, girls’ swimming and diving, boys’ tennis, girls’ tennis, boys’ track and field, girls’ track and field, and wrestling. – Section champs were girls’ cross country, boys’ golf, girls’ golf, girls’ lacrosse, and boys’ tennis. – A total of 21 seniors will continue to play sports in college. – All high school teams maintained a combined average 3.5 QPA. • Fox Chapel Area High School freshman Zoe Skirboll was named a National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association All-American. Student-athletes are named to the list based on the top 100 recorded times in each event in the season. • Senior Graham Childs was selected as a US Lacrosse High School All-American. • Six Fox Chapel Area High School student-athletes were named to all-state teams. Cross country runners senior Sarena Seeger and junior Christian Fitch were named first team all-state, and junior Grace Sisson was named second team all-state. Additionally, senior golfer Gregor Meyer was named first team all-state, and freshman swimmer Zoe Skirboll and sophomore diver David Manelis were also named all-state.
