SOUTHERN BUTLER
COUNTY GARDEN
CLUB’S 9TH ANNUAL
GARDEN TOUR
Plans are underway for the Southern
Butler County Garden Club’s 9th Annual

Saturday, July 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with
registration and day-of ticket sales from 9 to
10 a.m. only in the Cranberry Twp.
Municipal Center lobby.
This year the tour will have several
gardens in the Cranberry area and in eastern

CRANBERRY WATERPARK
NOW OPEN!
The start of Memorial Day weekend saw
the official opening of Cranberry Township
Waterpark’s 2017 season. Gates opened to
the general public at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday,
May 27 (11:15 a.m. for members). Full-
season memberships for families, individuals
and their care providers will be available
throughout the summer, as will single-day

In addition to its main pool, the
waterpark—which underwent a series of
major renovations last year—includes a
120-foot water slide, a spray pad zone, sand
volleyball, a diving well, in-pool benches,
a baby pool, a water dump bucket, a
climbing wall, lap lanes, private sun decks, a
playground, locker rooms, a food concession
and a party room as well as free chaise
lounges and Adirondack chairs.
In addition to being a popular site for
casual recreation, the waterpark is also
the venue for an assortment of aquatic
programs for those learning to swim, seeking
to refine their swimming skills, or seeking
introductory scuba instruction. Private as
well as group swim lessons are available
through June and July. No reservation is
required for single-day admission; lessons
require advance registration and payment in
person at the Parks & Recreation customer
service desk in the Municipal Center, by
phone at 724.779.4FUN (4386) or online at
