Cranberry Christian Childcare
25 YEARS OF CARE AND LEARNING
C
ranberry Christian Childcare will be celebrating its
25th anniversary this September by doing what
they do best - caring for children from ages 6
weeks to 6 years.
The company’s recent history of growth has
strongly improved resources and program structure
and is almost complete in creating an idyllic setting for
the children enrolled at the Center.
“Our philosophy has always been that we’re a childcare
center first, although parents do count on us to ready
their children for school,” says owner Leslie Simpson.
“We teach life skills along with a structured curriculum for
Infants, Young Toddlers,
Nursery, Preschool, and PreK.
Children are prepared for
school having been given an
introduction to science, math,
literature, we help in developing
friendship building skills,
and to have appropriate and
positive behaviors. We provide
encouragement to each child
and guide them in obtaining
skills in expression and
centeredness through art, music, movement and a low-key approach
to spirituality”
Over time, Cranberry Christian Childcare has built
a second and, most recently, a third, structure. A large
garden and greenhouse is currently underway as
well as a second playground with a splash pad and
pavilions to complement a newly opened large muscle
room.
Cranberry Christian Childcare is licensed to accept
90 children. But there is never more than 30 or fewer
in each structure. Each structure accommodates a
specific age range of children. On the grounds, there is a
Toddler house that serves the one- and two-year-old’s,
the office,
lounge, and
a kitchen.
The second
structure is
a small steel
building exclusive
to infants. A third
newly opened
structure is home to
the Preschool/ Pre-K/
and after school kindergarteners. Longevity in staff is a consistent plus
to this center in addition to prepared, healthy lunch and snacks that
are included in the tuition. There has never been a registration fee
collected from parents at this center, and rarely is there a rate increase.
All supplies for activities are also included in the tuition as well.
Much of the success of this facility is a straightforward approach
to childcare and families, as well as the extreme cleanliness and well-
furnished and supplied rooms. Parents also appreciate the fact that, as
a private daycare, tuition goes directly to the program, not a corporate
franchise.
With a proven track record of 25 years of guiding children to a
successful start, Cranberry Christian Childcare should be on your short
list for any child care solutions you’re looking at this
fall.
