KINDERCARE- WHERE EXPERIENCE EQUALS EDUCATION EXCELLENCE

When it comes to early childhood facilities, there are childcares and then there are early education centers like KinderCare, where children are prepared for school as soon as they come through the door.

KinderCare Director Holly Cessna said KinderCare’ s longevity – 30 + years in Cranberry Twp. and 15 + years in Seven Fields – is one of the reasons why KinderCare is a leader in ensuring that children are learning what they need to succeed in life.

“ Our centers are NAEYC accredited and in the STARS program, which adheres to 400 standards of quality that have to be upheld at all times,” Cessna said.“ Our teachers are credentialed and obtain mandatory training hours each year. We’ re not just a childcare, we’ re an early learning center with a curriculum based on research and proven methodology.”

KinderCare accepts children as early as six weeks up through age 12, when they can participate in before- and after-school programs. It’ s also a PA Department of Education-licensed kindergarten, where 5- and 6-year-olds can enroll and benefit from a full-day, private kindergarten program with a stateof-the-art smart board and nationally recognized curriculum.

“ It’ s a complete environment for learning from infancy through preschool, kindergarten and beyond,” Cessna said.“ Our state is one of the few that has early learning standards for children from birth to 5 years old. We are aligned with the PA early learning standards, while developing the whole child: fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social and emotional growth and cognitive development. Research has shown that 90 percent of a child’ s brain growth takes place by the time that child is 5 years old, so KinderCare is more than kindergarten readiness; we are building that child’ s whole foundation for educational success with a lifelong love of learning.”

As a result, KinderCare shies away from the term“ childcare,” because there is so much more it has to offer. The preferred term is“ education center,” and once you walk through the doors of either campus, you’ ll see why: KinderCare offers an environment where children are surrounded by educational opportunities.
