A WALK THROUGH HISTORY
Much of the Kane Woods Nature Area was once owned by General John Neville , who served alongside George Washington in the Revolutionary War . His name is familiar in the area since Woodville , also known as Neville House , was built by him .
Kane Woods is an ideal place for hiking and bird watching , even in winter ! There are also deer , fox , wild turkeys and other forest animals among the five trails . And the area looks even more magical when blanketed in snow . The quiet calm of the forest in winter is perfect to enjoy a peaceful walk , away from the noise and electronics of our world .
