The physicians at Keystone Pain Consultants and Interventional Spine Specialists are excited to be opening a new office space in January , which will be located on Bower Hill Road . The new location will have expanded facilities , providing additional exam rooms along with a newly equipped procedure room . This will allow us to provide even more patients with personalized evaluations in order to develop and execute the treatment plan that is best for you .

Dr . Richard Plowey and Dr . Karthik Dwarki are experts in getting you back to the everyday activities that you love , while lessening your dependence on oral medications . They treat a variety of different pain problems , whether acute or chronic . The practice serves patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting and is affiliated with St . Clair and Washington hospitals .
After pursuing higher education elsewhere , both of the fellowship-trained physicians decided to return home to the Pittsburgh area because they are passionate about serving the people of the Steel City . They are joined in practice by a welcoming and knowledgeable team , including two physician assistants and a nurse practitioner .
Dr . Richard S . Plowey is a board-certified neurologist and interventional pain medicine specialist who has served the Western Pennsylvania region since 2008 . He completed medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine and completed his neurology residency and interventional pain management fellowship at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital . He has been the medical director of Keystone Pain Consultants and Interventional Spine Specialists since 2015 . Dr . Plowey has a strong background in a wide range of chronic and acute pain conditions . He is extremely proud of his team of medical and administrative professionals who create a high-quality environment of medical care , professionalism , and customer service . He otherwise enjoys time with his family , traveling and golfing .
Dr . Karthik Dwarki is a board-certified anesthesiologist who started his career in the City of Champions as an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh ( H2P !). He then attended medical school at George Washington University and completed his anesthesiology residency with Allegheny Health Network . After finishing the residency , he went on to complete a fellowship in interventional pain management at Baystate Medical Center . In his free time , he enjoys watching sports , playing video games , and spending time with friends and family .
