BRIDGEVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT 2017 LENTEN FISH FRY SCHEDULE
Go to the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department at 370 Commercial Street from 4 to 7 p. m. on March 3, 17, 31, and April 14 for the Lenten Fish Fry. Eat in or take out, you’ re guaranteed a great meal. Call 412.221.1711 for take-out orders.

Used Book Sale: March 16, 6 to 8 p. m.( Members Only Night); March 17, 10 a. m. to 5 p. m.; March 18, 10 a. m. to 3 p. m.
Card Party @ the Library: April 2, 1 to 4 p. m., $ 10 for members, $ 12 for guests. Light lunch and refreshments included. Chinese auction and door prizes.

CHARTIERS VALLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS, WILL HOST TRIVIA NIGHT
The mission of the Chartiers Valley Education Foundation is to recognize and reward exceptional academic student achievement for personal growth and to promote high-quality, innovative instruction in the Chartiers Valley School District through the awarding of scholarships, Great Ideas from Visionary Educators( GIVE) grants, endowments, partnerships and honors.
The trustees include: Patti Figorski, President; Russ Grunebach, V. P; Kim Hartnett, Treasurer; Stacey O’ Connor, Secretary; Rocco Cozzo, Sandra Hallett, Ken LaSota, Carrie Lynn Nolan, Joe Verduci, Susan Weiss, and Matt Zeleznik. The board expanded its trustees in January by appointing three new members: Rocco Cozzo, Carrie Lynn Nolan, and Susan Weiss.
As part of its mission to the district, the foundation offers educational grants to teachers in grades K-12 to enhance the educational experiences in the classroom. The GIVE grants are awarded in the fall, winter, and spring. Also, students benefit from the foundation through six awarded scholarships, which are listed on the Chartiers Valley Education Foundation website, cveducation. org.
The foundation is always looking for Friends of the Foundation to donate time through volunteering and funds to support the grants and scholarships. An easy way to donate is to sign up for Amazon Smile to donate a portion of your purchase to the Chartiers Valley Education Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit 501( c)( 3).
The Chartiers Valley Education Foundation will also be holding a trivia night on April 22, at the Heidelberg Firehall, 456 First Street, 15106. Doors open at 6:15 p. m. Tickets are on sale through the foundation’ s website, cveducation. org. The event includes a night of trivia, light dinner provided by Texas Roadhouse, and a gift basket auction. If you would like to volunteer for the event, please fill out the form on the website.

Scottie’ s Toddler Storytime Mondays, 10:15 a. m. Children ages 2-3½ with a caregiver. Stories, movement, rhymes and song. No registration required.
Scottie’ s Preschool Storytime Tuesdays, 10 a. m.; Wednesdays, 1 p. m. Children ages 3-6 with a caregiver. Stories, movement, songs and a craft. No registration required.
Scrabble and Games Club for Adults Tuesdays, 2 p. m. All levels of Scrabble players are welcome to join in this weekly group.
ADULT COMEDY SHOW Featuring Wolfie & Friends

8 to 10 p. m. Scott Township Park – Community Room Attend a comedy fundraiser to benefit the Scott Township Public Library! SORT, Volunteers March 10, 9 to 11 a. m. The Friends of the Scott Township Public Library request your assistance sorting books and materials for the 2017 October Book Sale. Sorts will be held the second Friday of each month in the small meeting room.
ADULT COLOR TIME March 10, 2 to 3 p. m. Relieve some tension and express your inner artist! Supplies are provided.
CONVERSATION SALON, Adults March 13, 1 to 3 p. m. Join in an informal, civil discussion about current events. The topics for this meeting are:“ What would motivate you to march?”( e. g., the Women’ s March, the Scientists’ March, etc.) and“ How are older generations treated differently now as compared to in the past?”
