PREPARING FOR KINDERGARTEN:

A Guide to Carlynton School District Registration for 2026 – 2027
Starting kindergarten is an exciting milestone for both children and families. At the Carlynton School District, we are committed to making the registration process as clear, welcoming, and supportive as possible for parents of incoming kindergarten students. Below is a step-by-step overview of what families can expect when registering for the 2026 – 2027 school year.
STEP 1: Begin with Online Pre-Registration
The registration process begins online. Parents and guardians should visit the district’ s registration and enrollment page at carlynton. net / registrationenrollment and complete the New Student Registration form for the 2026 – 2027 school year.
Submitting this form officially starts the pre-registration process and allows the district to begin reviewing your child’ s information.

STEP 2: Pre-Registration Processing
• After the online pre-registration form is submitted, a notification will be sent to a school official to review, process, and approve or reject your pre-registration. This can and will only occur during the school day.
• Please allow up to two school days for your preregistration form to be processed. Please note, preregistration approvals may be delayed during the summer months due to planned PowerSchool outages and system updates. Please allow up to five business days during the summer months.
Once your pre-registration form is processed and if approved, you will receive a confirmation email from PowerSchool with instructions that include details for the next steps for your student registration. Please check your spam / junk folder for this email.
STEP 3: Create PowerSchool Parent Portal Account
The confirmation email will include instructions for scheduling an in-person registration appointment with a school official. This appointment is a required part of the enrollment process and ensures that all documentation is reviewed accurately and securely.
STEP 4: Complete Registration
Pennsylvania School Code and Carlynton School Board Policy require specific documents to be presented at the in-person appointment. Please bring all required items to avoid delays in enrollment.
STEP 5: Required Documentation( Upload)
• Certain forms within the online enrollment application include a file upload feature for submitting required documentation. Please note, you will only be able to do one file upload per form. Forms that require multiple pieces of documentation must be on the same file upload.
