Crafton Elementary School Earns High Ranking on 2026 US News & World Report List of Best Elementary Schools
Crafton Elementary School was ranked among the nation’ s best elementary schools according to US News & World Report’ s Best Elementary School Rankings for 2026.
The U. S. News Best Elementary Schools rankings include data on more than 47,000 public elementary schools. The 2026 rankings are based on publicly available data from the U. S. Department of Education. The rankings methodology focuses on state assessments of students who were proficient or above proficient in mathematics and reading / language arts, while accounting for student background and achievement in core subjects. Studentteacher ratios are applied to break ties in the overall score.
Crafton Elementary School was ranked at # 326 out of the 1,575 elementary schools in Pennsylvania with an overall score of 79.35 out of 100.
Superintendent Dr. John Kreider applauded all Carlynton students, families, teachers, and staff for their continued commitment to excellence.“ These rankings reflect the hard work of our students and the dedication of our families, teachers, and staff at Carlynton,” Dr. Kreider said.“ While a school is defined by far more than test scores or a national ranking, it’ s encouraging to see Crafton Elementary recognized among the top schools in Pennsylvania.”

Junior Ethan Moldovan qualified for the PIAA State Championship and ran a time of 17:18 to finish in 18th place and earn a PIAA medal.
4 members of our Girls Soccer team( all underclassmen) earned All-Section Honors this year.

The girls soccer team fell to Sewickley Academy in the quarterfinals of the WPIAL playoffs and finished the season with a record of 11-8-1.
