Dominic Sicchitano and Travis McVay
On your Promotions to the Rank of Captain
Dominic Sicchitano is 29 years old. He grew up in Bentleyville. He graduated from Bentworth
High School in 2009. He then obtained a Bachelors Degree of Science majoring in general justice
studies from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Dominic is a third generation firefighter in
his family. He joined the fire service as a volunteer in 2004. Dominic has worked for North Strabane
Township Fire Department since 2014. Dominic is a husband to a beautiful wife (Kylie) and the father
to two children (Addyson and Easton). When Dominic is not training or working, he usually likes to be
coaching sports in which his kids play in.
Travis McVay is 36 years old and was born and raised in Washington, PA. He graduated from
Trinity high school in 2001. He then obtained his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the
Community College of Beaver County in 2004. Travis was raised in a family of firefighters and in 2002,
he became a volunteer fireman in Lone Pine.
He spent 6 years with Frederick County, Maryland as a full time firefighter from 2007 to 2013.
Travis and his wife moved back to Washington, PA to be with their families and he became a part
time firefighter at North Strabane in 2014. He has been a full time firefighter with North Strabane
Township since 2015.
He has since helped and supported his wife through the process of becoming a volunteer
firefighter. Travis has a strong desire to help other firefighters, both career and volunteer, through
helping them train and study for certifications to become better firefighters themselves.

• CAR SEATS INSPECTIONS
Car seats seem easy enough to install and maintain but there
is truly an art to their installation. Please see our Car Seat
Check-up on the adjoining page and have your seats installed
by a trained installation technician. We just happen to have
2 on Staff! Call 724.745.1010 and speak with Dave or Tim to
schedule an appointment
• CPR
We offer CPR training for individuals and groups. Please see

• CO AND SMOKE DETECTORS
Are you a Township resident and in need of a new smoke
detector or CO detector? We offer them for free! Please
stop by our station on route 19 or call us at 724.745.1010

A new program that we are offering Pool safety. If your HOA
