Building Strong and Vibrant Communities – Your Local Library Matters
Holiday Closures The library will be closed Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19.
Frank Sarris Public Library is ready to spring into action this season.
As a recipient of the American Library Association’ s Libraries Transforming Communities grant, our library is thrilled to announce the addition of a new collection: Memory Care Kits.
Each kit in this collection centers on a specific theme and is created for caregivers of individuals experiencing mild to moderate dementia symptoms to borrow. Every kit includes books, games, and activities that engage participants’ minds and encourage connections. The Memory Care Kits are available for checkout starting Monday, March 17, at the Circulation Desk.
Our staff is also preparing plans for an engaging and exciting summer that aligns perfectly with this year’ s Summer Reading theme,“ Color Our World.”
Families have been reaching out to our Circulation Desk to inquire about our popular Summer Reading Camp. This year, the camp will run for five weeks, starting Monday, July 7, and concluding Friday, Aug. 8. Children who have completed kindergarten through 4th grade may sign up for one week or more.
Morning sessions are from 9:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. Drop-off time is
at 8:45 a. m. Afternoon sessions run from 1:00 p. m. until 5:00 p. m. All children must be picked up by 5:00 p. m. Lunch sessions are from 12:00 p. m. to 1:00 p. m. Only children registered for both morning and afternoon sessions may attend lunch. If you register for both sessions, please bring a brown bag lunch.
The tuition is $ 50 per child each week for morning or afternoon sessions. If you attend both morning and afternoon sessions, the weekly tuition is $ 100. Registration for full-day campers is now open, and half-day camper registration begins on March 24. Registration forms are available online at our website, franksarrislibrary. org, and at the Circulation Desk. Completed paperwork and payment must be submitted at the time of registration.
In addition, our Summer Reading Kickoff Party will be on Saturday, June 14. More information about this event will be available in the coming months.
For more information about upcoming events and other resources, please visit our website, franksarrislibrary. org, and our Frank Sarris Public Library Facebook page. If you have any questions or concerns, call 724.745.1308, ext. 1.
We look forward to seeing you.
