P . E . PARTNERS :
Students in this class will act as peer mentors for students with exceptionalities participating in the Physical Education course . This class has the purpose of promoting an inclusive environment as well as building social skills among athletes . Students in this class will be expected to show good sportsmanship , assist peers , and act as role models throughout the class period . Students in this class will be graded on participation and teamwork with others .
SONGWRITING :
This course is for beginning songwriters and focuses on basic songwriting styles and techniques . Over the course of the semester , different methods will be studied and students will be shown easy to understand methods to develop the necessary skills to compose well crafted lyrics and music . Students will focus on melody writing and lyric structure , and will develop their own personal musical identity and critical listening skills . Music areas include , but are not limited to : Pop , R & B , Rock , Hip-Hop , Country ,

Rap , Folk , Jazz , and Musical Theatre . Students are assigned weekly songwriting projects . There are no required prerequisites for this course . It is not necessary that you either read music , sing or play an instrument .
ADVANCED DIGITAL MEDIA DESIGN :
This course is intended to engage student learning in the field of Digital Media with in-depth hands-on projects and “ real world ” activities that build upon previously learned material in Digital Video Production . Students will develop advanced skills that will be used to produce cinema quality short films , professional photography , studio quality audio tracks and Commercial grade website portfolios . This course is based upon the development of a specific set of skills that would be required in the field of Digital Media . Four specific competencies or skills areas will be covered : Photographic design ; Audio production ; Video production ; Web design . Student evaluations will be based on successful completion of assignments , quizzes , tests , projects and teacher observations .
HHSDR Architects / Engineers announced that Muse Elementary School , Muse , Pennsylvania has been selected for publication in the American School & University ® 2021 Architectural Portfolio . The project is featured in the November / December 2021 edition of the magazine and also online at SchoolDesigns . com . An annual competition honoring education design excellence , the Architectural Portfolio spotlights projects representing today ’ s most effective learning environments .
Additional details / background / data about the project here : A jury of American Institute of Architects ( AIA ) Committee on Architecture for Education members and education administrators evaluated submissions from architectural firms , schools , and universities across the country . Ninety-four projects were chosen for publication in AS & U , an educational facilities , purchasing and business administration magazine reaching 57,000 facility planners , school and university administrators , and architects with this issue . This is the competition ’ s 39th year .
