North Strabane Intermediate School
Student Presented Science Fair Project
at the Google New York City Office
On April 19, 2019, sixth grade North Strabane Intermediate School student,
Louis Aglio, had the pleasure of presenting his sixth-grade science fair project at
the Google New York City office. Louis was invited to present his project by Barron
Webster, Designer from the Google Creative Lab. Louis’ project was focused on the
Google’s Artificial Intelligence experiment Teachable Machine. Teachable Machine
is an experiment that makes it easier for anyone to start exploring how machine
learning works. It lets you teach a machine using your camera – live in the browser.
In addition to presenting his project to the Google Creative Lab team, Louis had a
luncheon with the Google team, beta tested new Google products and received a
tour of Google’s office space. The highlight of Louis’ trip was when the Google team
asked if they could display his science project tri-fold board in the Google New York
City Museum.
