Manager ' s

Message

“ You did it! Congratulations! World’ s Best Cup of Coffee! Great job, everybody!” – Buddy the Elf
The holiday season is upon us, and that means it’ s once again time for my annual reminder: support Brentwood’ s local businesses! This year, though, our message carries even more excitement and energy than ever before.
A Year of Firsts and Fresh Starts
In 2025, Brentwood proudly hired its first Main Street Manager / Community & Economic Development Director, Melissa Lenigan, a role dedicated entirely to helping our business community grow and thrive. Together with the new and improved Brentwood Business Owners Association( BBOA), we’ ve seen a powerful partnership take root, giving business owners a stronger voice and a network of support.
The Borough also welcomed its first Community Relations & Compliance Specialist, Devon Serena, who in just a short time has put Brentwood on the social media map. From reminders about Borough services to highlighting the“ many, many” events happening in our community, our official pages are now a go-to source for information and connection. Perhaps most exciting is the new“ Spotlight” feature, which showcases both newly opened businesses and long-time Brentwood favorites. If you haven’ t already, be sure to follow the Borough’ s Official Facebook Page for updates and the REAL INFORMATION. And in 2026, expect to see an even stronger Instagram presence as we expand our outreach, increase transparency, and use modern tools to promote all that Brentwood has to offer.
And it’ s working. New businesses opened throughout Brentwood this year, adding fresh energy and options for shopping, dining, and services. These businesses aren’ t just places to buy things— they’ re neighbors investing in our community’ s future.
Events That Spark Growth
Looking Ahead to 2026

Around Brentwood

The Borough, BBOA, and Main Street Manager are already exploring creative ways to keep this energy going:
• A“ Brentwood Holiday Passport” that rewards shoppers who visit multiple stores.
• Seasonal pop-up markets and / or Workshops to spotlight start-ups and specialty vendors.
• Collaborative promotions— think themed shopping nights, Wine Down Wednesdays, and cross-business raffles.
• Expanded Taking It To The Streets weekends to showcase even more local talent and merchants.

• And, perhaps most importantly, the Dewalt Avenue Streetscape Project will break ground and be completed. This nearly $ 1 million grant-assisted investment in an often overlooked— but never forgotten— corner of our business district is a clear demonstration of the Borough’ s long-term commitment to our business community and to ensuring every part of Brentwood’ s Main Street corridor thrives. rentwood

The wildly popular Taking It To The Streets summer series once again filled our town with music, food, and fun— and with record crowds this year, it’ s becoming clear that these events are more than just entertainment. They’ re catalysts for growth. The excitement and visibility they create are making Brentwood an attractive spot for entrepreneurs, and it looks like even more businesses will be opening their doors in 2026 as a direct result.
Why Shop Local in Brentwood?
Forget the“ Top Ten” format— we’ ll keep it simple this year. Here’ s why shopping local matters now more than ever:
• It fuels our momentum. Every purchase you make locally strengthens the resurgence we’ re experiencing.
• It keeps money here at home. More of each dollar stays in Brentwood, supporting services, jobs, and community causes.
A Community Effort
At the end of the day, Brentwood’ s success depends on a simple truth: we’ re stronger together. By supporting our local shops, restaurants, and services, you’ re investing in the very heartbeat of our community.
So as you make your holiday gift lists this year, consider skipping the big box checkout lines and online shopping carts. Instead, stop by a Brentwood business, share a smile, and know that your purchase is helping our community grow.
On behalf of my wife Michelle( and Gus and Kosmo, our two fur babies), may you all have a blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year!
• It builds relationships. Local businesses know your name, value your support, and give back in ways big box stores never will.
• It shapes our future. The more we invest in Brentwood businesses, the more vibrant and unique our Borough becomes.
And let’ s be honest— if Buddy the Elf can get that excited about a cup of coffee, imagine how excited we should be about the incredible shops, restaurants, and services right here in Brentwood. To us, every local business is serving the“ World’ s Best” something.
