Congratulations to Brentwood Homecoming Queen Avalon Peters and King Ethan DeShetler! Avalon was crowned at halftime of the Spartan’ s victory over Riverview and Ethan was crowned the following night at the Night on the Bayou dance.

STUDENTS TAKE NUTRITION EXPEDITION
The district’ s Food Services department has launched a new Take Nutrition Global / Nutrition Expedition program in all district schools. The department is managed by The Nutrition Group.
Elroy and Moore Elementary were the first schools and Mexico was featured. Students were able to enjoy chicken quesadillas, sample salsa and roasted onions & tomatoes. They could also take home a facts sheet about Mexico and instructions on how to make a piñata out of a cereal box.
The initial Take Nutrition Global offering at the MS-HS was a Chinese stir-fry action station. Students also were able to learn a little more about the cuisine and culture of China.
This program will occur monthly in all district schools, with Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Thailand, Turkey and the United State among the upcoming countries to be featured.
