IN Brentwood-Baldwin-Whitehall Winter 2019 | Page 46

PMAD was another successful event for Brentwood Borough. 33 students from Pitt University volunteered to “Make A Difference” and came out on a beautiful Saturday morning to assist us in any project we decided to fulfill. In the past, the volunteers usually walked around with the DPW staff to pick up litter and clean up debris at the walking trail located in the “hollow”. This year with the help of Dr. Pasquantonio’s wife Julie and Lynden Goehring (DPW), a team of volunteers conducted the cleanup at the walking trail. Dennis Chuderwicz (DPW) led a 44 BRENTWOOD-BALDWIN-WHITEHALL team to clean Brownsville and a few right of ways, Harry Beatty (DPW) had his crew pull weeds around the newly planted trees in the park and also add mulch, and Mark Consomango had his team add mulch to the soil around the Borough’s municipal building. We anticipate next year’s event to be held sometime in October 2020. Information will be posted when we get closed to the finalized date. Special thanks to Pitt University, Dr. Bob Pasquantonio and our staff at the Department of Public Works.
