apping off three straight weeks of Neighborhood
Hospital groundbreaking events across the area,
officials from Allegheny Health Network (AHN),
Highmark Health, and Emerus gathered today in Brentwood
to ceremonially break ground on a Neighborhood Hospital
the organizations are building at the corner of Saw Mill Run
Blvd. (Route 51) and Greenlee Road.
The Brentwood location is one of four that AHN
and Emerus have chosen for Neighborhood Hospital
development, joining Hempfield, McCandless, and Harmar.
AHN expects the four facilities to open in late 2019.

The 40,000-square-foot, two-story hospital would be on Route 51 with eight emergency room beds, 10 inpatient hospital beds and
doctor’s offices occupying about half the building
The hospitals will be smaller than regular hospitals, but they will be open 24/7 .
