Streets Run Stream Clean-Up
The June/ July rain events this past summer which flooded Streets Run Road and forced the closure of the roadway
approximately 14+ times over those two months between Hays in the City of Pittsburgh and Prospect Roadway, brought
State and local officials together to look for possible ways to alleviate the flooding along this stretch of roadway. After
numerous meetings and phone calls with the DEP and help from our local State Representatives and Borough Council
along with the Borough Mayor, the DEP issued an Emergency Permit which allowed the Borough to enter the stream and
clean-up debris and the build-up of non-native material (bricks, rocks, trees, etc.). The Borough undertook the clean-up
as part of a joint effort with the Borough’s Public Works forces and a contractor (Stefanik’s Next Generation). Additionally,
the State (PennDOT) performed some stream improvements as well near the site of the Old Chesapeake Restaurant. The
result is a wider and less debris filled Streets Run stream.
Baldwin Borough 2018 Seasonal Field Permits
Welcome to another exciting 2018 Field Permit Season.
If you would like your application for a field permit to be
considered, they must submitted completely to the Borough
BEFORE the March 1st, 2018 at 4:30 pm. Deadline.
The Borough is still in the process of creating exciting and
new improvements to our Borough for all of the community
to enjoy. We ask for your continued patience during all of
the improvements to Baldwin Borough. Importantly, we
have created rules that have been established for the use of
our parks. We ask that you adhere to these rules at all times.
Please help us protect our fields by not only respecting
the established rules, but enforcing these rules with other
participants in your planned activities.
Every year the Borough receives field permit requests from
an array of organizations and clubs. The Borough strives
to be fair and judicious in the assignment of field times to
each of these requesters. The Borough will give priority field
assignments to organizations that have an established and
positive experience of field usage, and then to organizations
that serve the largest number of Borough residents.
A new fillable form will be available on our website toward
the end of January. Permit applications must be filled out
70 Brentwood-Baldwin-Whitehall

Hold Harmless Agreement.
As in the past seasons, the
