From Cameroon to Brentwood: Joe Anya’ s Tireless Journey to Building His Dream cKeesport rentwood

CITY BRIEFLY OF MCKEESPORT BRENTWOOD NEWS
From the faraway lands of Central Africa to the heart of Brentwood, Pennsylvania, a man with a vision is living out his dream.
Joseph Anya, originally from Cameroon, is the owner of Joe Iron Enterprise, a newly opened tire shop on Route 51 that stands as a symbol of hard work, resilience, and a tireless drive to succeed. He’ s proof that dreams can take root even in unfamiliar soil.
Anya studied automotive mechanics in his home country and gained years of hands-on experience.“ Because I was doing this before and then I came here to America. I was successful under other people— and now I’ m doing it for myself,” he says.
He came to the U. S. in 2017, first settling in New Jersey before relocating to Pittsburgh. After passing the property at 3421 D Saw Mill Run Blvd many times, he finally met with a real estate agent and began transforming it. For the past year, he’ s worked tirelessly to renovate the space.“ Changing the roof, cleaning the place out, painting the outside of the building, adding new fixtures,” he says.“ I started from scratch and built it all up.”
That effort paid off. Less than a month ago, Joe Iron Enterprise opened its doors. The shop offers both new and used tires from a variety of brands.“ We have very, very good tires,” Anya says.“ We have a lot of cars in this country. People need to buy tires every day, so it’ s a good business to get into.” His goal is simple:“ Get people back on the road when they get a flat.”

Today, the shop is stocked with more than 1,500 tires. Deliveries arrive regularly, and every tire is inventoried and tracked. Financing is also available.“ If you don’ t have money, I can call my bank and get financing,” he says.“ Just come in and we will get you taken care of and deal with the bank after that.”
Anya is already planning to expand— adding more car lifts and hiring staff.“ My goal is to employ workers, so that we can build a community. I have one guy that I’ m training and set for hiring. I’ m going to hire one or two more in the next month.”
A proud father of four, three of whom now live in Pittsburgh, Joseph brings a wealth of experience to his shop. With a background in welding and fabrication, and fluency in French, English, and Spanish, he brings both skill and pride to everything he does.“ I put a lot of money into it— but it was not difficult,” he says.“ I took a chance to try to build and make this grow— that is my dream.”
As word spreads and more customers stop in, it’ s clear Joe Iron Enterprise is more than a tire shop— it’ s a story of courage, perseverance, and building something lasting, one tire at a time.
