Briefly Brentwood BOROUGH NEWS Borough Manager’s Message “Summer, summer, summertime Time to sit back and unwind” George Zboyovsky, PE — Will Smith Can you believe that it is summer time? I feel like I just finished taking the Christmas Tree down and the next thing I know I am firing up the lawnmower and doing yard work. I don’t mind yard work. It is one of the first things that let you know warmer days are right around the corner. The smell of freshly cut grass or placed mulch are some of the scents that spark up nostalgia for me and all of the many good summer times memories. It is obvious that a lot of you spend time beautifying your properties. Whether it is planting an array of flowers or simply keeping your grass trim. (which with the amount of rain we have been getting is a weekly task.) There is nothing better after spending all day doing yard work to then fire up the ol grill and enjoy a nice burger, dog, chicken, or steak while washing it down with a cool beverage (or two) all the while surveying your accomplishment. Having some friends or family over is an added bonus. The entire Borough is looking good and we thank you all for taking the extra effort in this department. This Summer in Brentwood is going to be the place to be!! Between Craft Beer Street Fairs, Live Music, Fun in the Park Days, to our Annual Community Day, movies in the park, and of course the Fourth of July Activities. These are only a few examples of the activities being planned by the Borough. Keep your eyes open for more and we hope to see you at a few if not all of them. It is truly a community event!!
