Normal Story and Music Times for Little Ones
Will Continue Throughout the Summer
Summer Reading has Begun!
“Libraries Rock” is the theme for this year
and we certainly agree!! We definitely have
some really fun activities planned for you
this summer!
The Family Summer Reading Kick-Off
will be held on Sunday, June 10th from
5 to 7 p.m. Featuring a light dinner, old
fashioned games such as sack races, pie
eating contests, a duck pond, and more!
Registration is required for this event.
Events Especially for
Elementary School Kids
Thursday, June 28th 6:30 to 7 p.m.
MAGICAL MUSICAL MAGIC SHOW:
For children of all ages!! This show explores
music and the amazing world of reading
through magic. Registration will be required
for this event.
Science in the Summer is back
July 9th – 12th for children going into
grades 2 – 6. There will be one session this
summer for children in grades 2 – 6. The
theme this year will focus on Space. Young
scientists will get to perform experiments in
astronomy, meteorology and more! Space
is limited and children are asked to attend
all four days. Registration will begin on
Monday, June 4th at 10 a.m.
Friday, July 20th – 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
ROCK MINING RUSH: Explore mineral
resources and how we use them in 4 fun
filled activity stations. Pan for minerals in a
portable sluice box and learn what minerals
are needed to make a cell phone. This event
is brought to you by Carnegie Museum of
Natural History. Registration will be required
for this event.

TILE ART WITH TONI: Come paint your
PAINTING TO THE MUSIC: Get your
creative juices flowing and paint a musical
masterpiece! We explore different types
of music and discover how they inspire
us to create! We will end the afternoon by
creating any instrument you like.
Something Fun for Teens
Monday, June 25th - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
ROCK STAR CRAFTING: –Make your own
guitar pick/bead jewelry and temporary
tattoos, paint on vintage records, and
homemade pop rocks!
Friday, July 13th -7 to 9 p.m.
WATER WARS: Get ready for soaking wet
fun and games with water balloons, water
guns, wet sponges, and more!
own tile coasters under the direction of our
very own Toni Weber! No formal art training
required. With her guidance you’ll fill in the
outline of a pattern, giving it your own flair.
JULY 3rd and 4th
July 3rd: The library will be open from
10 a.m. to 9 pm. We will have special
activities including balloon animals, spray
tattoos and a moon bounce. All activities
are free!
July 4th : join us on our float for the
parade. Come on in and ask us how you
can be a part of our Independence Day
celebration.

DANCE CLASS WITH MARK PETERS:
No partner or former experience required!
Come get some exercise and meet new
people while you learn how to Swing dance
with skilled instructor Mark Peters! After the
one hour lesson, we’ll hang out and dance
the night away using our new found skills!
