2016 Brentwood Borough Sewer Rehab projects
Excavation point repair project
This project involves approximately 6 sanitary sewer point repairs including, but not limited to: sanitary sewer wye and lateral repair,
manhole installation, post repair CCTV, adjusting existing manholes.
This multiple three (3) year contract in amount of $698,270.00 was awarded to Roto-Rooter Services Company.
Anticipating starting date is June 10, 2016.

Phase II of the Shared Cost Sidewalk Restoration Program is now under way! The Borough has ratified construction contracts
for the improvement of pedestrian conditions along Brownsville Road, Shadyway Drive, Villawood Avenue, and Kingsley Street.
The bulk unit cost of all labor and materials associated with this project is set at $10 per square foot; eligible applicants are able to
receive matching contributions from the Borough, which will reduce the homeowner share to the exception price of just $5 per
square foot. It is anticipated that information on the streets that will be targeted for Phase III of the program will be disseminated
to residents this fall.
The Borough recently amended its refuse ordinance to clarify several facets pertaining to the storage of trash. In order to
prevent insects, rodents, or curious pets from accessing household waste, garbage bags may not be kept in any exterior premises.
Trash may be placed outside in a container with a tightly sealed lid. However, such containers may not be located in any front
yard. Please note that these alterations do not require residents to acquire storage containers; trash bags may still be placed at the
curb for collection at the regularly scheduled pick-up time.
Due to a rainy spring, grass and weeds have been sprouting quickly during the 2016 growing season. Please show pride in your
property by mowing frequently, trimming shrubbery, and removing unwanted and unsightly plants.
