ALARM PERMIT RENEWAL TIME
The renewal period for residential and commercial alarms is upon us. Letters and applications have been mailed to current residential and commercial permit holders. They are due to be submitted to the police department by April 1, 2026, along with payment. We are happy to report that our fees have remained the same again this year; $ 5.00 for a residential permit, and $ 60.00 for a commercial permit. Any resident who has had a new alarm installed must register that alarm system with the police department. All information / forms can be found on the Borough’ s web page. Payments for alarm permits can also be made online at www. baldwinborough. org. Questions can be answered by calling the nonemergency line for the police department, which is 412-881-1300.
HOW YOUR PROPERTY TAX DOLLAR IS SPENT IN 2026 aldwin BALDWIN BOROUGH NEWS
For 2026, the Real Estate Tax Millage Rate will remain at 8.03 mills. Real estate property taxes account for over 50 % of the Borough’ s funding, providing a consistent and stable revenue source. Each dollar collected by the Borough of Baldwin is carefully allocated to support essential services and community priorities. Public safety, solid waste and recycling, and personnelrelated costs represent significant portions of the General Fund expenditures.
