For generations, Brentwood ' s Fourth of July celebration has been more than a parade. It ' s a tradition that brings neighbors together, creates lasting memories, and celebrates the pride and spirit of our community.
For decades, a dedicated group of volunteers has invested countless hours planning, organizing, and growing this celebration. Their commitment has created one of Brentwood ' s most cherished annual traditions and helped make the Fourth of July a highlight of the summer for generations of residents.
As community events become more complex and volunteer organizations face growing challenges, Borough Council is discussing the creation of a Brentwood Borough Fourth of July Celebrations Committee to help preserve and strengthen the event for years to come.
The goal is simple: to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of Brentwood ' s Independence Day celebration by bringing together volunteers, community organizations, local businesses, sponsors, and Borough leadership to help guide future celebrations. The committee would work alongside the existing Parade Committee, building on its decades of experience while expanding opportunities for volunteer involvement, sponsorships, and long-term planning.
Council also recently updated the Borough ' s ordinance governing parades, processions, and public gatherings. While the updated regulations establish permitting and safety requirements for many public events, Brentwood ' s traditional Fourth of July Parade and Firecracker 5K remain exempt, allowing these long-standing traditions to continue while providing a clear framework for other community events. cKeesport rentwood
