From live music on warm summer nights to holiday cheer that fills Brownsville Road each winter, two of Brentwood ' s most beloved traditions are getting a boost.
Brentwood Borough has been awarded a $ 30,000 Main Streets Allegheny grant to support‘ Taking It To The Streets’ and‘ Holiday Magic,’ two signature events that bring neighbors together, attract visitors, and shine a spotlight on the Brownsville Road business district.
‘ Taking It To The Streets’ has grown into the hottest ticket in Brentwood, with monthly music events filling Brownsville Road with live entertainment, local food vendors, family activities, and opportunities to shop and dine with local businesses.‘ Holiday Magic’ transforms the business district each winter into a festive destination with seasonal activities, entertainment, and holiday shopping.
The grant will help the Borough continue building on the success of both events by creating memorable experiences that encourage residents and visitors alike to spend time supporting the businesses that make Brentwood unique.
This project was made possible through Main Streets Allegheny, an initiative of County Executive Sara Innamorato with funding provided by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.
County officials recognized Brentwood ' s community events for their ability to support local businesses, create a vibrant downtown atmosphere, and strengthen connections between residents, visitors, and the business community.
