As tradition holds , the day started with the Baldwin Mile . After the race , participants enjoyed orange drinks sponsored by the Baldwin Police and Schneider ’ s Dairy . Watching the connection between the racers and our officers is one of the highlights of the day . Congratulations to all the racers . Great job !
Whether you spent your time indoors or outside , there was lots to see and do .
Indoors , the Baldwin Kiwanis ’ annual craft show and Plum Run Winery showcased goodies available for sale . This year we added a new bonus : The Baldwin Women ’ s Club provided bingo from 6-8 pm .
On the stage , attendees enjoyed performances by Bhutanese dancers and an amazing magic show by T . J . Hill . The petting zoo , Sluganski scholarship fundraiser - a dunk tank featuring Baldwin Police , balloon twister , CEAC popcorn giveaway , the Baldwin Library ' s duck pond , and craft stations rounded out the outdoor festivities .
No one went home hungry , with food from local favorite Above and Beyond as well as Roadrunner Hot Dogs , Rollies Spring Rolls , Wood Stoked Barbeque , and Barbique Greek Gyro . Frost Fairy , Vintage Latte , and Penn Brewery provided additional treats for attendees .
Mika Dietorn , once again voted fan favorite by community members , kicked off the final round of the So You Think You ’ ve Got Talent competition with a song . The top three acts , who were selected by the judges , were Dale Miller , Morgan Smeal , and Wade Wiseman . Congratulations to all the entertainers , but special congratulations to Morgan Smeal who was chosen by crowd applause as the 1st place winner .
