Officer Sean Sluganski ( BHS ’ 09 ) of the McKeesport Police Department was killed in the line of duty on February 6 , 2023 . Sean ’ s birthday is Oct . 29 , and he would have turned 33 years old this year . To celebrate his life , BWEF is hosting a 24-hour fundraiser on his birthday to support the Baldwin-Whitehall Educational Foundation ’ s memorial scholarship fund .
