Baldwin – Whitehall Believes in a
Culture of Caring !
At Baldwin-Whitehall School District ( BWSD ), we know that learning is about more than just textbooks , class projects , and tests . Some of life ’ s most important lessons aren ’ t found in flashcards or pop quizzes . Instead , they ’ re found in how we treat one another , how we help our friends and colleagues during difficult times , and how we show each other that we care . Here are some of the many ways that our District leads by example when it comes to creating a culture of caring that benefits our students , staff , families , and our entire learning commUNITY !
Making Space to CHILL
In 2019 , BWSD became the first Pittsburgh-area school district to partner with Allegheny Health Network to open a CHILL Center , a mindfulness space in BHS where over 40 students a day come to de-stress , meet with counselors , calm their anxieties , and improve their mental and emotional health . More than 32 school districts in the region have introduced a CHILL space in their schools since our opening in 2019 . aldwin-Whitehall BALDWIN-WHITEHALL SCHOOL DISTRICT NEWS
