FRESH UPDATES IN DISTRICT DINING
NEW MEAL OPTIONS:
High school café will be offering a Highlander Fresh
Eats station on featured days in the food court. The new
Highlander Fresh Eats station will feature different culinary
delights daily. Some of the featured items students can
look forward to this fall semester are specialty sandwiches,
gourmet salads, fruit/vegetable smoothies made-to-order,
and taste-testing opportunities of other culinary delights.
Harrison Middle School will expand their specialty
Highlander Meal Bar to three days a week this fall semester.
The bar will be featured every Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday. Students will be introduced to new delightful
recipes and fresh fruits/vegetables each month to provide
nutritional education and variety to their dining experience
in the cafeteria. Students at Harrison will notice that new
lunch trays have arrived in the cafeteria to replace the
disposable foam trays in efforts to reduce waste and protect
our planet’s environment.
Elementary Schools will feature special food events at
lunch each month in which students will be able to sample
new food choices and learn fun food facts about the food
they sample.
