Park High School Teachers and 30 Bethel
Park High School students were also
on-hand to help the younger students
develop an interest in STEAM.
The goal of the day was to expose
students to STEAM careers by listening
to speakers and engaging in a variety
of learning opportunities that involved
problem solving and creative thinking.
The day began with a performance
by the Attack Theater dance company.
Following the performance, students had
the chance to participate in brief career
talks with a variety of STEAM-related
presenters and also get some hands-on
experience with STEAM by participating in
Maker Station activities. such as building
Lego towers, understanding how musical
instruments make sounds, participating in
forensics and color labs, learning how to do
paper circuitry and paper making, making
stop action videos and sewing a puppet, to
name a few.
