The Bethel Park Board of School
Directors approved the 2019-2020
General Operating Budget in the
amount of $89,934,645 in June 2019.
The budget included using $5.4 million
from the District’s fund balance to give
taxpayers a millage reduction of 1.8763,
bringing the District’s millage to 21 mills.

The 2019-2020 spending plan
represents an increase of $2,941,333,
or 2.35% over the 2018-2019 budget.
The major portion of those increases
are attributable to salaries and benefits,
special education and the Pennsylvania
School Employees Retirement System
(PSERS). Revenues decreased $2,680,299
or 3.11% due to the reduction in Real
Estate Tax.
